OCHO CLK

Ocho is a mare you could never mistake for any other horse. In the stable she is extremely affectionate, loves human company and always wants to be at the centre of things.

In the ring she becomes a different horse — ambitious, fast and incredibly competitive. The will to win is written into every move she makes.

We have only just started competing at 110 cm, but it's already clear that winning gives her enormous satisfaction. My job is to teach her to channel that temperament in the best possible way.

Ocho is also the mother of two special foals — Daylette by Darwin Z and Dexapicco by Dourkhan Hero Z. Watching them grow, I increasingly recognise traits they inherited from her.
