Sparta came to me as a foal and spent her first years growing up freely at pasture. When we began working under saddle, I immediately knew I was dealing with an exceptional personality.

She is the most demanding mare I have ever worked with. She has her own opinions, tremendous strength of character and doesn't do compromises. If she doesn't accept something, she makes it very clear.

Over the years she has taught me patience and attentiveness. Sparta is not a horse you can force into anything. Her trust has to be earned.

Beneath that tough character, however, lies great sensitivity and a genuine love of jumping. When she feels confident, she shows abilities that can take your breath away.

Our journey together continues. Every session helps us understand each other better, and I never stop believing that the best chapters of this story are still ahead of us.
